Scope and Rationale
This standard describes the NACE International internal corrosion direct assessment (ICDA) process for multiphase flow pipeline systems. Intended to serve as a guide for applying the MP-ICDA process to these types of pipeline systems, this standard outlines a methodology to assess pipeline integrity because of the threat of internal corrosion. This standard applies to both onshore and offshore pipelines containing CO2, H2S, and O2. Included in this standard are several figures detailing the steps in the MP-ICDA assessment process and tables containing data and selection criteria. There are also three appendices for additional information.
