Abstract
The purpose of this research is to establish an industry recognized classification standard for powder coated parts impacted by the Faraday Cage Effect using geometric analysis. This classification standard will enable OEM’s and design engineers to define coating specifications for fabricated assemblies or individual parts more precisely. Furthermore, it will provide suppliers and sales engineers a standard platform to accurately define processes, adjust for labor metrics, material usage, and accurately bid complex projects. This classification will consist of several categories, each containing relevant geometric shapes used in the fabrication industry, and consequent levels of application difficulty.
