There is a wide gulf in the industry between the capabilities of water jetting and wet abrasive blast equipment capabilities and the perception of their capabilities. The misinformation frequently leads to miscommunication between the various parties involved in projects where the equipment and associated standards are used. There is a wide range of equipment on the market that has vastly different capabilities and is designed for different tasks. It is important for all parties of a contract to be able to clarify ambiguities in specification and contract language. These ambiguities can only be clarified through a clear understanding of equipment capabilities and their associated standards; which require some degree of educating all parties involved.
