In 2010 the Tucson Water Department began to implement the Tucson Water Reservoir and Tank Program. The purpose of the program was to evaluate and repair approximately 70 concrete and steel potable water storage facilities. The program is scheduled to span a five year period. The first potable water storage facility to be evaluated and remediated 2011 was the 20 million gallon Tucson B-C Zone Reservoir. This article highlights our role within the Tucson Water Department’s Construction/Inspection Team as their independent coating consultants and inspectors for the B-C Zone Reservoir.
