Abstract
The use of climate control is commonly perceived as an additional cost and the energy consumed is often substantial. A closer look at the real impact can uncover economic and environmental benefits that may offset and even exceed the initial costs. These benefits include life cycle costs of the coating system, efficiencies in the project sequencing and minimizing coating and solvent waste. This presentation will detail and quantify these benefits and identify various ways to plan the climate controlled project to minimize the financial and environmental costs. The reader will leave with a better understanding and a framework to plan their project or write their specification in a way that will have the least impact on our environment and have the greatest impact on their profitability.
