Recently, the development of construction techniques to limit or control the transmission of ambient air through the exterior envelope of buildings has been growing. The process is commonly known as Air Barriers. Not only are Air Barriers becoming more prevalent in the design of new structures and major building renovations, their use is being legislated in the United States and Canada on a regional basis.
