Abstract
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) routinely conducts maintenance painting of bridges by overcoating. The wastewater produced by pressure washing preceding overcoating normally includes hazardous materials. A study conducted by KYTC and the University of Kentucky assesses the quality of the wastewater and filtering techniques.
