Abstract
As the use of alternative deck building products gains increased momentum, the need for protecting a deck’s surface remains crucial and becomes more complex. Composites and hardwoods have characteristics different from those of traditional pressure-treated wood or cedar; and methods of coating and protecting these surfaces are different from traditional treated wood, yet also essential.
