Mr. Doolittle observes new tank erection and foundation construction activities on behalf of tank owners, and performs radiographic review of welds. Through his participation in various industry associations, he keeps abreast of environmental regulations and industry innovations, and frequently is called on to advise owners and contractors concerning lead-paint removal, containment, and hazardous/non-hazardous waste disposal. He is a PADI Certified Scuba Diver and is involved in the underwater tank evaluations TIC performs.
Mr. Doolittle is an instructor at TIC's "Construction, Design and Maintenance of Steel Water Tanks" Seminars, conducted a tutorial entitled "Maintenance Options for Aged Structures" at the Steel Structures Painting Council Annual Meeting, and presented a paper entitled "Role of Proper Evaluation and Quality Control in a Rehabilitation Project" at an SSPC Annual Meeting.
