This is a case history of an AC project based primarily on in line inspection (smart pig) data, AC field data, and mitigation based on anomaly areas that occurred approximately 12 years ago. Confirmation of the pipeline system was limited; however, the latest analysis is still valid today. The initial engineering and modeling studies were limited just to field work and using the smart pig anomaly data for location and mitigation for these AC anomalies. Because the AC modeling was limited to those specific areas of the pig run, it did not show the full understanding of the remaining areas of the pipeline when mitigation was installed. This paper will present updated findings and results using AC modeling to determine the full extent of AC interference, faults, mitigation and their effects on the pipeline system.
