Abstract
For improving the precision of detecting overburden depth of soil above pipeline crossing of the river, a method of signal value measurement is put forward which is in the circuit of cable or ground and corrected by way of one or more calibration points. In addition, buried depth of overburden soil of underwater crossing pipeline is calculated using Ariver, that achieves a good effect. The results show that by circuit composed by cable and a calibration point chosen on both sides of the river, the method is more accurate by contrast and measuring value is in the range of permitted error which meets practical requirements of underwater pipeline detection.
