Abstract
The improved corrosion resistance of some of the high performance alternative reinforcement materials often makes it difficult to distinguish between the behavior of these materials in laboratory tests. This is particularly true in the early stages of corrosion and when the quality of the concrete is very high. In this paper, short-term laboratory behavior and longer-term field behavior of some of these materials will be compared.
