Abstract
Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics (FRP) Stack liners have been used very successfully since the early 1970’s in power plant chimneys. The Cross No 3 stack liner is the first FRP liner to be fabricated since 1980 when the Cross No. 1 & No. 2 units were fabricated and installed in the first chimney. Units 1 and 2 have performed very well so the power plant management approved the use of FRP in the second chimney. Currently No. 3 liner is being fabricated and will be installed after construction of the chimney. FRP liner No. 3 is 28 ft in diameter and the top elevation is 488 ft.
