Abstract
For gas production systems, corrosion inhibitors can be used as a cost-effective and flexible method of corrosion control. In this paper a laboratory test strategy for the selection of corrosion inhibitors for two gas production and processing systems was given. The performance of six commercial corrosion inhibitors was evaluated for sour gas service in two production areas. Based on a series of laboratory test results, the two best inhibitors were selected for field-testing in each production area.
