Abstract
A new form of Bromochlorodimethylhydantoin (BCDMH) has been developed which combines the benefits of this trusted chemistry with a “pump-able” form. This new form dissolves much more quickly than solid forms, and can be metered consistently using conventional equipment. It is just as effective on a halogen basis as solid forms of BCDMH, yet is safer and easier to handle. It is also more stable and has more active halogen than other liquid bromine biocides. Product characteristics are outlined and a case history is detailed.
