Abstract
Patented1 thermoplastic lined tubulars have been used for over ten years in lower temperature water handling service and over eight years in oil and gas production downhole service. Recently new improvements have taken place to make existing poly lined tubulars more cost effective and applicable to additional service conditions as versatile corrosion and wear barriers. The purpose of this paper is to present field data that substantiates the past performance record and associated economic returns from utilizing poly-lined tubing.
