Abstract
The cooling water treatment industry is seeing a growing trend away from on-site management and control toward off-site management. This paper reviews some of the reasons for this phenomenon, then examines issues and elements that are required to establish an effective off-site management system. Emphasis is given to non-proprietary equipment that is commercially available.
