The demonstration of the Chiyoda CT-121 flue gas scrubber made almost exclusive use of FRP materials in the absorber, ductwork, associated tanks and piping for corrosion avoidance in the aggressive environment of SO2 scrubbing of large volume flue gases from a 100MW pulverized coal, electric utility boiler.
