Carbon steel and other alloy materials used in the fabrication of pressure vessels, process equipment, and storage tanks often require linings that will protect the substrate against attack from corrosive or abrasive materials. When barriers to protect these vessels are being considered, quite often natural and synthetic rubber linings are chosen.
