The corrosion behavior and mechanisms of various materials within supercritical water oxidation (SCWO) systems are reviewed. The materials degradation by different aggressive ions is also summarized. The monitoring and detecting technologies are synopsized. The research progress and intending emerging research topics about SCWO in China are proposed.
