Abstract
The mechanical properties and corrosion performance of martensitic stainless steel welded joint with new developed matching welding consumables is investigated. The matching welded joint showed over matching even at high temperature at 200Åé and good low temperature toughness. The resistance to CO2 of matching welded joint was same as that of base metal. No preferential corrosion observed even in the acid condition. The SSC resistance of matching welded joint was higher than that of duplex welded joint. No hydrogen embrittlement was observed under cathodic condition. The matching welded joints have superior corrosion resistance for linepipe application.
