Abstract
A new Cb-free Ni20Cr12Mo14Fe alloy has been developed to combine high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The superior behavior of the alloy was proven by corrosion tests performed according to ASTM G 28 A/B, ASTM G 48 A/B and in Green Death Solution.
Yield strength and tensile strength are at least comparable to alloy 625.
The alloy is easily weldable and filler metal from this alloy can be used for welding high nitrogen alloys like duplex and superduplex steels.
