Abstract
Current solvent borne polyurethane coatings have exceptional performance but contain volatile organic coatings (VOCs). This paper presents a new high solids waterborne technology for two component polyurethane coatings which exhibit an equivalent level of performance to the solvent borne counterparts but contain no organic solvents. The technology is briefly described. This is followed by a comparison of performance properties of formulated coating based on this technology versus 4 commercial solvent borne polyurethane coatings.
