Abstract
Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics (FRP) offer many performance advantages over other materials of construction in industrial corrosion resistant applications. From the earliest applications in the 1940’s, FRP piping systems and process equipment have provided excellent service life under a wide range of service conditions. FRP’s superior performance has made it a preferred corrosion resistant construction material. FRP has seen ever increasing use in the fabrication of piping systems, absorber towers, storage tanks, process vessels, ducts, stacks, and many other types of industrial process equipment.
