Abstract
The wall thickness required to satisfy axial load requirements in FRP storage vessels is currently determined by using one of three design criteria: allowable stress, allowable strain and strength ratio. The objective of this paper is to put these criteria into perspective and to provide some general guidelines relative to their application.
