Abstract
Multipoint chemical injection systems using pressure independent metering valves have been in use for over seven years in upstream Oil and Gas process systems. These systems have proven to be very reliable and accurate with less maintenance than multiple pumping skids. This multipoint arrangement has the potential to improve the injection of chemicals into other process systems such as refineries, as well as the possibility of providing a reliable means of chemical dosage to underwater oilfield operations.
