Abstract
Synthetic polymers are used to control deposits in boilers. A protocol consisting of laboratory and pilot boiler techniques was used to evaluate the effectiveness of several established boiler dispersants for the prevention of scale. These techniques demonstrate that a novel polymer exhibits superior performance.
