Abstract
This paper presents the FSM1 technology which will be used as part of the monitoring system of a new pipeline in the North Sea. FSM has been installed on site subsea in order to monitor the internal corrosion of the pipeline. Readings will be transferred to the surface giving relevant information on corrosion rates and on remaining wall thickness to the corrosion engineer. This is the first subsea installation of the FSM.
