Abstract
The World Trade Center subgrade is a complex reinforced structure. The parking levels are exposed to corrosion resulting from chloride intrusion. This is further complicated in some areas with the impact of stray DC current. Cathodic protection systems were designed to address these corrosion sources. This paper presents the details of the cathodic protection system design, installation, and post-installation testing.
