Abstract
Dissolved oxygen in boiler systems is known to cause corrosion. Mechanical deaeration removes the majority of the dissolved oxygen while oxygen scavengers remove the remaining trace level. A review of current oxygen scavenger technology and the introduction of a novel oxygen scavenger is discussed. Demonstrated performance of the new scavenger is presented using both research and field data.
