Abstract
The technology of using water in boilers for the past 50 years is reviewed with the focus on corrosion science implications. Anticipated and needed changes in the future technology are suggested. The discussion will include pertinent aspects of makeup water, return condensate, boiler feedwater, boiler water and steam.
