Abstract
Inhibition still represents the most cost effective and flexible means of corrosion control. This paper describes modern tests methods and gives a detailed protocol for the evaluation of corrosion inhibitors for oilfield applications. Emphasis is made on simulating actual field conditions in the laboratory and gaining information on performance, oil/water partitioning, and compatibility.
