Abstract
The ability to accurately control new non-chrome cooling water treatment programs has proven to be challenging. New treatment technologies do not operate over as broad an application range as chromate and therefore require tighter control for proper operation. Also, active components in some treatment programs are difficult to analyze and quantify. With many companies involving their treatment programs in quality processes, the need for improved product dosage control is very apparent. The new tracer technology (based on fluorescence) has proven to be a reliable method of continuous monitoring and precise automatic feed control of chemical treatment programs.1-4
