Abstract
Water chemistry and corrosion product deposition are significant factors in boiler corrosion. Deposition can lead to breakdown of the protective magnetite layer by allowing corrosive chemical concentrations within a wall deposit. This paper will focus on methods used to detect, control and monitor conditions to minimize underdeposit corrosion in steam generating systems.
