Abstract
Electroplating has been successfully conducted for over one hundred years. However, during the last twenty years dramatic strides in nickel and chromium electroplating systems have significantly improved the appearance and corrosion resistance of the deposits. Improvements in productivity and consistency and a reduction in environmental concerns have accompanied these performance improvements. The automotive industry is now utilizing these economical corrosion resistant electroplating systems for improved performance.
