Abstract
Docks utilizing conventional steel bulkhead structures are built with the steel showing above the water line, whereas relieving platforms are constructed with the steel completely submerged. The problems encountered when designing and installing cathodic protection systems will be discussed and some suggested solutions offered for consideration.
