Abstract
The use of computers in the corrosion control industry is at least 20 years old, but is still in its infancy. In this paper, a brief chronology shows some of the reasons for this slow evolution. Emphasis is given to the use of computers in the collection, storage, retrieval, and analysis of data collected in cathodic protection work. The paper concludes with a modest prediction of corrosion control software of the future.
