Abstract
High-nickel, corrosion-resistant alloys (CRA) of alloy C-type (e.g. UNS N10276) and alloy G type (e.g, UNS N06985) have been extensively tested and used in deep sour gas environments.
An improved 50Ni-20Cr-9Mo-Bdl.Fe alloy (UNS N06950) is presented and its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance are described. This alloy fills the need for making production of moderately sour wells economically viable.
