Abstract
The use of corrosion resistant fiberglass reinforced plastics - abbreviated CR/FRP - in the chloralkali industry is one of the most successful and proven applications where Het Acid based unsaturated polyester resins are used to satisfy the requirements of corrosion engineers and end-users in their search for lower maintenance and operating costs.
The purpose of this paper is to describe the excellent properties of Het Acid based polyester resins and to review the proven fabrication techniques and successful case histories in the chloralkali industry.
