Abstract
POL-PLOT, a computerized method for the analysis of polarization data is described. This method uses the complete Butler-Volmer electrodic equation. Important corrosion parameters such as corrosion current density, Tafel constants, and polarization resistance are readily obtainable. Application of this new method shows that it is rapid, easy to use and yields accurate results using a minimum of low-field data points.
