Abstract
Personal computers (PC) are an integral part of a corrosion engineer's business. Many corrosion engineering PC applications are in use; however, this paper describes existing and developmental applications used by a corrosion consultant. Areas of PC applications for the consultant include: Analysis and Presentation of Field Data; Data Management; Project Management; Cost Estimating; Economic Analysis; and Engineering Analysis. One "engineering analysis" application involving corrosion control design for buried concrete coated pipe, is emphasized.
