Abstract
This paper describes a pipeline coating defect survey technique and the use of related ground potential measurements to assess the pipeline corrosion protection status.
The method, and principles to measure protection losses at coating defects are described.
The use of the data obtained is discussed as a means for the selection of a level for coating repair.
