This paper focuses on a modified version of a proposed test method (NACE T-7L-2/ASTM G 01.09.02 T-1) which is a short term quality control test for evaluating aluminum alloy anodes. Efficiency values measured by this method have not been compared to long term or in-service results. Therefore, this method is viewed as a comparative test to determine the consistency in anode performance within a production lot and to inspect for improper alloying.
