Abstract
The Department of Energy, Mines and Resources, Canada, is sponsoring a 10,000-h materials test at a dedicated AFBC pilot plant operated by the Nova Scotia Power Corporation at Point Tupper, Nova Scotia. Alloys tested include carbon steel, Cr-Mo alloys, stainless steels and Incoloy 800H. Some of the results obtained for samples exposed for up to 5000 h are given in this paper.
