Abstract
Materials and welding consumables for deaerator vessels are considered. Appropriate arc welding processes and procedures are reviewed, with reference to cracking and other defects arising from fabrication. Finally, the general characteristics and corrosion behaviour during service of arc welds in carbon steel are discussed.
