Abstract
The cost of protecting bridges in the United States is reaching astronomical and unaffordable proportions. It is mandatory that only those coatings systems be used that offer the greatest economy for corrosion control. This paper will show how high-performance urethane coatings offer the greatest economy by offering long recoat cycles and lowering average annual maintenance costs.
