Abstract
Since 1979 the Sun Refinery in Marcus Hook Pennsylvania has been treating condensate with a filming amine along with venting the low pressure horizontal U-tube reboilers to reduce corrosion in the system. In 1983 the condensate treatment was expanded with use of a neutralizing amine in addition to the filming amine and venting program. This combined treatment has been effective in reducing corrosion but with some mixed results.
