Abstract
The paper discusses high-temperature corrosion attack resulting from the incineration of various municipal and industrial waste products. Results of multiple alloy field tests and the failure analyses of incinerator components are used to identify the nature of attack in each type of environment. Laboratory data are also used in order to compare material behavior with various environments associated with incineration.
