Abstract
Cast tubulars with high stress rupture properties offer the highest reliability in steam methane reformers, while for ethylene pyrolysis furnaces high carburization resistance and creep strength are controlling the optimum performance. Custom-made alloys for petrochemical applications have been developed. Discussion includes centrifugal cast furnace tubing, return bends, manifolds, transfer lines and other components.
