Abstract
Factors involved in the external corrosion of sewage pump stations and approaches to corrosion control are discussed. Pump stations in the design stage as well as existing stations are addressed. Assumptions and approximations which have been useful in the estimation of corrosion rates are also presented. Cathodic protection design considerations are discussed.
